Archivally matted. Dimensions with the mat are approx. 26" W x 20" H. Pages 146 and 147. From the London Illustrated News August 14, 1858.This matches the style and form of Roy Kemp, a known photographer active in New Orleans during the mid-20th century. Kemp was one of a small number of photographers who documented the burlesque and cabaret scenes in New Orleans.
His work often appeared uncredited in postcard sets, handbills, and matchbooks from clubs on Bourbon Street.
His signature typically appears in the lower corner of images, either in stylized cursive or block letters.
