Based in Orlando, Florida, the company owned 150 coaches and ran some 1,290 route miles. On October 24, 1929 “a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity was issued to Florida Motor Lines to operate motor busses for compensation in transporting passengers on all the highways of the state then being operated upon by the applicant, and especially over State Highway No. 4, between Jacksonville and Miami.” In 1933 the company moved its office to Jacksonville. In January 1946 Florida Motor Lines was sold to The Greyhound Corporation, which renamed it Florida Greyhound Lines.
